In his address, Gao Yong stated that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the China Industrial Textile Industry Association. Over the past 20 years, especially during the 12th Five-Year Plan and the 13th Five-Year Plan periods, the Chinese industrial textile industry has adhered to Party building leadership and adhered to innovation, bravely forging ahead and taking on responsibilities, always staying at the forefront of the Chinese textile industry, making important contributions to the construction of a strong textile nation. The industry itself has also gradually grown and expanded in practice, becoming the world's largest producer, consumer, and exporter of industrial textiles. From 2001 to 2020, the fiber processing volume of industrial textiles increased from more than 1.9 million tons to more than 19 million tons, an increase of more than 10 times, accounting for more than 33% of the total textile fiber processing volume in the country, and ranking second among the three major terminal Applications of the textile industry: apparel, industrial, and household. Gao Yong stated that at the moment when the first centenary goal of struggle has been achieved and we are moving towards the second centenary goal of struggle, the industrial textile industry should be based on China's new goals for modernization development and the new pattern of 'dual circulation' development with domestic circulation as the main body, with the '14th Five-Year Plan' as a new starting point, adapt to the new situation, seek new breakthroughs, enter a new journey, achieve new development, and promote the Chinese industrial textile industry to become a global leader in textile technological innovation.

In his address, Xia Nong stated that this year is the opening year of the '14th Five-Year Plan' and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The Chinese people are full of vigor and vitality, and are marching towards the second centenary goal of building a great modern socialist country. With the care and support of all sectors of society, China's industrial textile industry has flourished. He highly affirmed the leading and promoting role of the China Industrial Textile Industry Association in the development of the industry since its establishment. Xia Nong pointed out that currently, China has shifted to a stage of high-quality development. The new development pattern, with domestic circulation as the main body and mutual promotion between domestic and international circulation, is accelerating its construction. The economy is stable and improving, and it is heading for long-term improvement. This provides new and greater opportunities for the sustained and healthy development of the industrial textile industry. However, at the same time, the COVID-19 epidemic is still raging globally, the world economic recovery is difficult and tortuous, and the evolution of the international order is profound and complex. In his address, Cao Xuejun stated that during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the industrial textile industry actively promoted supply-side structural reforms, worked to cultivate new impetus for industrial development, and focused on serving major national projects to expand market Applications. The scale and efficiency of the industry have continued to grow, and the momentum of industrial clusters and key enterprises is good. Nearly 100 enterprises have been selected as specialized and new 'small giant' enterprises by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The '14th Five-Year Plan' period is an important opportunity for China's industrial textile industry to improve the modernization level of the industrial chain and achieve high-quality development. Industrial development must adhere to deepening supply-side structural reforms, enhance innovation-driven development capabilities, and promote the upgrading of the industry towards high-end, quality, green, and service-oriented development. At the meeting, Li Guimei, vice president of the China Industrial Textile Industry Association, delivered a work report to the Fourth Council of the China Industrial Textile Association titled "Unite and Strive for a New Victory in the Full Construction of a Powerful Country in the Industrial Textile Industry." Over the past five years, the China Industrial Textile Association has actively carried out association work. First, it has implemented the party and state's policies on industry development and fully played the role of a bridge and link between the government, enterprises, and the market. Second, it has comprehensively refined, strengthened, and optimized the content of member services and continuously improved the association's deep service capabilities. At the meeting, the China Industrial Textile Association ceremoniously announced the outstanding figures in the Chinese industrial textile industry, conferring the honorary title of "outstanding figures in the industry" on academicians Sun Jinliang, Yao Mu, and Yu Jianyong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Sun Jinliang's remarks and message mentioned that he has been in contact with composite materials since 1974, having worked for nearly 50 years. He is very fortunate to have had the opportunity to combine his personal ideals with national needs and industry progress. As a scientific and technological worker with nearly 50 years of experience, he has personally experienced the process of China's carbon/carbon composite materials from difficult beginnings to rapid development. He has also witnessed the growth of China's industrial textile industry from its initial stages to its current thriving state. Now, carbon/carbon composite materials, from raw materials, equipment, and control systems to products, are all domestically produced, achieving true "Made in China." The industrial textile industry has also transformed from following, to catching up with, to leading in some areas. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the China Industrial Textile Industry Association, Sun Jinliang hopes that the association will continue to promote the advancement of basic research, technological innovation, green development, and application expansion in the industry, and to continue writing a more brilliant chapter for the industrial textile industry in the new era. At the "13th Five-Year Plan" honorary moment of the industry, the China Industrial Textile Association announced the outstanding contributors, leading enterprises, technology innovation enterprises, high-quality development enterprises, excellent suppliers, and excellent public service platforms of the "13th Five-Year Plan." Through the congress election, 305 people, including Ding Junmin, were elected as council members; 51 people, including Yu Yajing, were elected as executive council members; and 33 people, including Ding Junmin, were elected as specially invited executive council members. Li Guimei was elected as the chairman of the Fifth Council, Zhu Xiusen, Duan Shoujiang, and Ji Jianbing were elected as resident vice chairmen, Li Yuhao as chief engineer, and Zhu Xiusen concurrently as secretary-general. 22 people, including Ding Junmin, were elected as senior vice chairmen of the Fifth Council; 24 people, including Ma Xinming, were elected as vice chairmen; and 11 people, including Lv Hongbin, were elected as specially invited vice chairmen.

At the meeting, the China Industrial Textile Association established its first Supervisory Board, with Li Lingshen elected as chairman, and Zhuang Xiaoxiong and Liu Yujun elected as supervisors; established the expert committee of the Fifth Council; deliberated and adopted the proposal to establish the Electrospinning Fiber Materials Professional Committee and the industry's functional party organization; and issued a proposal for green and low-carbon development of the industrial textile industry.

Li Guimei introduced that since its establishment, the association has established its original aspiration and mission of promoting industry development, providing precise services to members, and promoting social progress.
